The UC Riverside Center for Environmental Research & Technology has announced its third annual Solar Conference will take place February 23, 2017, at the Bourns Technology Center in Riverside.
The event welcomes regional, county, and city leaders, planners, council members, businesses, utilities, and the public to learn about the state of solar energy. The program covers the latest technology, public policy/regulations, economics, and the associated environmental and sustainability issues. Attendees will learn about the challenges and opportunities for incorporating solar energy in their communities, including information about local policies and initiatives and how the marketplace work. Speakers and panelists include David Hochschild of the California Energy Commission, V. John White of the Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies, and Bernadette Del Chiaro of the California Solar Energy Industries Association.
